Yunus Suggests Separate Institutions for 'Social Business'
Star Online Report
Grameen Bank founder Muhammad Yunus today suggested that some new institutions such as separate stock markets be set up for social business, an idea the Nobel laureate devised."There should be a new stock market for the social business ventures in future when number of such businesses goes up," Yunus said at a workshop in Dhaka.
He also stressed new regulations, separate rating agencies, and academic courses to train people on social business, which he believed could make a big lift on poverty alleviation.
A university of the United States will launch course on social business, Yunus said at the workshop organised by Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI).
