Khazanah Scholarship assessments held at Yunus Centre
The assessments for Khazanah Asia Scholarship Programme were held at Yunus Centre from January 26 to January 28, 2016. A total of 16 candidates took part in the final stages of the assessment at Yunus Centre for graduate and postgraduate programs after qualifying in the first and second layer of assessments.
Every year Yayasan Khazanah Foundation, in collaboration with Khazanah Nasional's partner and investee companies, offers scholarships to deserving candidates from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Palestine to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate education at selected leading universities in Malaysia. In Bangladesh, Yayasan Khazanah offers the scholarship in collaboration with Yunus Centre. Yunus Centre liaises with top universities and schools in Bangladesh for the candidate selection and also receives nomination from Grameen Bank and Grameen Shikkha on potential candidates for the scholarship award. The children of Grameen Bank members get the opportunity to pursue undergraduate degrees at different prestigious universities in Malaysia while the external candidates are offered postgraduate scholarships. This year Khazanah Scholarship widened its expanse by offering scholarships at globally renowned UK and USA universities for the graduates along with the Malaysian universities. From the candidates, 5 have been chosen for scholarships at the Malaysian Universities and 1 has been chosen for a scholarship in USA or UK based university.
Khazanah, in association with Yunus Centre selected 5 candidates in the year 2015 from Bangladesh for the undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship program in different leading universities in Malaysia.
