*Grameen Healthcare Signs MOU With **Emory University**, **USA**

**Grameen Healthcare and **Emory** **University** today signed an MOU for establishing a Learning Centre in **Bangladesh** that will train health care professionals.  The Learning Center that will organize diploma/degree education programs in Dhaka for physicians, nurses and health care administrators in Bangladesh, and will serve as a center for strategic planning and research in the health care sector based upon the current needs in Bangladesh. Emory University faculty and Grameen will work together to jointly work on development, translation and adaptation of relevant teaching material.

Late yesterday, the United States Senate unanimously approved a bill to award Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus a Congressional Gold Medal. The bill, introduced by Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Senator Robert Bennett (R-UT), recognizes Dr. Yunus as a leading figure in the effort to fight poverty and promote economic and social opportunity. Through his Grameen Bank, Dr. Yunus has pioneered the microcredit movement and helped hundreds of millions of people around the world break out of poverty.

Painting the Domino Stone for the 'Fall of the Wall' Ceremony in Berlin

Mr. Mortiz Van Dulmen, CEO of Kultur Projekte Berlin arrived in Bangladesh to see the stone-painting ceremony at the village of Dhamrai. Scores of Grameen Bank borrowers, including the children of the borrowers gathered to paint scenes of Bangladesh onto the Stone. This stone will be among the domino stone that will be used during the 20th year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall event on the 9th of November, 2009. tellyseries
