• Our Mission and Vision

MuhamamdYunus.Org is a dedicated global gateway about Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Nobel Peace Prize winner of 2006, his achievements and his mission. Through the professional expertise of us, the members of MuhammadYunus.Org, in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), clean energy and service related sectors, we work towards implementing the vision of Dr. Yunus by providing a platform to the social business entrepreneurs and policy makers who want to make a positive difference in the unprivileged lives of the developing world.

We are highly inspired by thought-provoking comments of Dr. Yunus such as, ?Charity is not a solution for poverty?, or, ?Young people must learn that they have a choice to make between the two types of businesses: (a) business to make money, i.e. conventional business, and (b) business to do good to the people, or social business". We opt for the business to do good to the people, i.e. social business enterprise for our platform of MuhammadYunus.org.

Founded in October 15, 2006, MuhammadYunus.org marked its official launch in October 25, 2006 by Dr. Muhammad Yunus in an inaugural ceremony in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Muhammad Yunus has accomplished the greatest achievement in the history of Bangladesh. We consider sharing his vision with world-wide audience in different languages as the most important responsibility of this website. Using this platform, we would encourage people to be social business entrepreneurs, share their views and ideas, and potentially create and replicate social business enterprises.

Management Committee Selection Policy:

1) Management Committee has been selected from existing members based on

a) Personal interest of taking the specific responsibility and serving for the organization

b) Individual's contribution and commitment to the organization

c) Peer member evaluation

2) "Management committee" is subject to quarterly update, each member has equal opportunity to participate in the ?Management Committee? based on above memtioned policy
